We invite you to submit abstracts of original research, review articles, and case reports.

Participants of the III Conference of the DiTOS Section of the Polish Dermatological Society may submit abstracts until February 10, 2025, electronically via the website.

Rules for Submitting Abstracts for the 3rd Conference of the DiTOS Section of the Polish Dermatological Society


§1. Introduction These rules define the principles for submitting, reviewing, and accepting abstracts for the 3rd Conference of the DiTOS Section of the Polish Dermatological Society (hereinafter referred to as the Conference).

The purpose of the Conference is to promote scientific research in dermatology, facilitate knowledge exchange among specialists, and foster integration within the medical community.


§2. Abstract Submission
•Abstracts may be submitted by individual researchers or research teams.
•Submissions must be made electronically through the Conference website by February 10, 2025.


§3. Abstract Requirements
•Abstracts presenting research results and case reports will be accepted.
•Only abstracts prepared according to the guidelines provided on the Conference website will be considered.
•Abstracts must be submitted in English with a Polish translation.


§4. Abstract Review
•Each abstract will be reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
•Reviews will be conducted anonymously.
•Evaluation criteria include innovation, relevance to the field, assessment of methods used, clarity of presentation, and consistency with the Conference’s themes.


§5. Abstract Acceptance
•Authors will be informed of the review results by February 24, 2025, at the latest.
•In justified cases, authors may be required to make corrections before final acceptance.
•Decisions regarding acceptance or rejection are final and cannot be appealed.
•Acceptance is conditional upon payment of the Conference registration fee.
•Authors of the highest-rated abstracts will be invited to present their work at the Conference, with notifications sent by February 28, 2025.


§6. Abstract Publication
•Accepted abstracts will be published in the journal Forum Dermatologicum.
•Submission of an abstract constitutes consent for its publication.


§7. Final Provisions
•The Conference Organizing Committee reserves the right to resolve any doubts regarding the rules.
•The organizers retain the right to amend the rules as needed.
Formal Requirements for Abstracts
General Information:
•Abstracts must not have been previously published or presented at national congresses, conferences, or meetings.
•Each abstract should include the following: introduction, aim, materials and methods, results, and conclusions. Common abbreviations are allowed; others should be explained. Drug names should follow international nomenclature.
•Case report abstracts should consist of an introduction, case description, discussion, and conclusions.
Scope of Topics: Abstracts should relate to dermatological and mucosal diseases, including skin imaging techniques such as dermoscopy (and its variations: inflammoscopy, infectoscopy, onychoscopy, trichoscopy), reflectance confocal microscopy, skin ultrasound, optical coherence tomography (OCT), capillaroscopy, and others. Topics may include:
•Melanocytic lesions, malignant skin tumors, primary cutaneous lymphomas, secondary skin/mucosal involvement in internal malignancies, lymphoproliferative disorders, and metastases to skin and subcutaneous tissue.
•Imaging methods for systemic diseases and other conditions affecting the skin and mucosa.
Thematic Categories: Specify the category relevant to the abstract:


1.Trichoscopy: Hair and scalp disorders.
2.Inflammoscopy: Inflammatory skin changes.
3.Dermoscopy in Dermato-oncology:

• Melanocytic lesions—melanomas and nevi.
• Malignant skin tumors: Basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma, others.
• Cutaneous lymphomas.


4. Dermoscopy of benign non-melanocytic lesions.
5. Interdisciplinary applications of dermoscopy.
6.Reflectance confocal microscopy.
7.Other skin imaging techniques: Ultrasound, capillaroscopy, MRI, OCT, etc.


Language: Abstracts must be prepared in English with a Polish translation.
Structure: Abstracts should include:
• Title: Concise and reflective of the main topic.
• Authors: Full names and affiliations of all authors. The submitting author will be the corresponding author.
• Introduction: Brief background to the study.
• Objective: Clearly defined study aim or hypothesis.
• Methods: Description of methods used.
• Results: Main study findings.
• Conclusions: Summary and key takeaways.
• Figures, tables, references, academic degrees, grant names, and institutional addresses should not be included.
Word Limit: Abstracts should not exceed 4,000 characters (including spaces).
Keywords: Provide 3–5 keywords that best describe the abstract topic.
Submission:
• Abstracts must be submitted through the online system available on the Conference website.
• Ensure all required fields in the submission form are completed correctly.
Declaration: The corresponding author declares that all authors are familiar with and accept the content of the abstract and its presentation at the Conference. Consent from co-authors to share their data with the organizers is also confirmed.

10. Your data may be individually profiled to tailor offers and services.
